As part of the expansion plans in the field of e-training, the Institute of Public Administration successfully launched administrative development skill course for the staff of Management and Administrative Development Institutes in the Arabian Gulf region, in an initiative taken by the Institute seeking to make the Kingdom of Bahrain a leading regional center for generating electronic courses.
Senior Director of Basic Development and Creative Learning Mohammed Al-Saba'a stated that this course aims to deepen the concept of administrative development and to highlight its importance efficiently and effectively, also the course seeks to enable trainees to identify areas of management development, introduce methods of resisting developmental change, and develop their abilities to identify training needs for employees.
This course is divided into three major units including introduction to administrative development, in addition to contemporary issues in administration development and obstacles, as well as developing business procedures and models, training planning, scholarship and the development of work environment in general.
Mr. Al-Saba'a added that the Institute plans to offer more joint electronic courses during next year to expand the choices available for all GCC public sector employees. The role played by the Institute within its membership in the distance learning committee, has contributed largely in organizing training process efforts in the region, in addition to the current work to establish electronic laboratory to produce electronic training materials that would offer a greater opportunity to spread the culture of electronic training regionally.
This expansion came after extensive studies carried out by the Institute of Public Administration concerning the culture of e-learning in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where the results indicated that more than 95% of public sector employees wish for electronic education and training, in a clear indication of the spread of e-training culture and the full awareness of its importance in achieving various strategic goals, therefore the experience was disseminated to the Gulf countries.
It is worth mentioning that the Institute of Public Administration progress along a clear and well thought steps to achieve the e-training vision in providing and improving the services, products and solutions of e- training, and support sustainability plans through providing appropriate training environments for the various sectors, as well as contribute to the growth of e-content regionally and globally.
