Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Daij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, emphasized that the National leadership development program is one of the most prominent programs offered by the Institute to public sector employees at various levels. The program aims to enhance their capabilities and develop their skills, enabling them to make decisions and formulate administrative policies that contribute to improving the government work system and raising the quality and efficiency of services provided to citizens.
Where her Excellency indicated that the National leadership Development Program has been redesigned based on a study of the training needs of civil service employees, to align with international trends in leadership and administrative sciences, as well as the national priorities of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This redesign involves diversifying learning methods to reflect best practices, providing a competitive and fair environment open to all employees to access learning and training opportunities, and making the learning and development process for public sector employees a sustainable one.
This came on the launch of the newly revamped National leadership Development Program, which consists of a series of leadership programs: Tasees, Benaa, Takween , Kawader, Qeyadat, Al Qayda Al Tanfetheya, Al Qayda Al Olya, and the Nakba Program).
Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Al Khalifa pointed out that the institute was keen, during the design process of the program, to ensure integration and continuity between leadership and administrative roles at various functional levels. The program’s outcomes are linked to improving the performance level of public sector employees, in addition to aligning the program’s outcomes with Bahrain’s local and global indicators and reinforcing the principle of national leadership and the development of Bahraini role models.
Her Excellency added that the program was designed by Bahraini experts to meet the training needs of the public sector. It aims to prepare officials who can drive sustainable development in the Kingdom of Bahrain by effectively fulfilling their leadership roles within the government system. The program covers all functional levels, from new employees, specialists, senior specialists to chiefs, directors, assistant undersecretaries, and undersecretaries.
