The Director General of the Institute of Public Administration Dr. Raed Bin Shams instated that the role of the diploma preparation program for government leaders is a developmental and preparative role for new managers (acting managers) whom their edict of appointment in managerial positions has been issued, to identify the requirements of the new work, and introduce them to the most important challenges that could face administrative leaders in government leadership positions, where nearly more than 100 managers were graduated from the Institute of Public Administration, this came during the opening of the sixth batch of the leadership program, which was held yesterday at the Institute premises.
The Executive Coordinator of the leadership programs at the Institute of Public Administration Khalid Al-Eid reviewed program objectives and its place in the national program for preparing and developing government leaders. Mr. Al-Eid also delivered a brief introductory about the Bahraini model for leadership, development controls and levels of capabilities development, as well as stages of the program progress and graduation requirements .
Moreover, a group of graduates from the previous five batches briefed the new participants about their experience in the Institute of Public Administration, where the director of public relations and media at the Ministry of Works Fahad Bu-Alla'i focused on the importance of communication between the participants considering it as being the modern tool for learning and development, while the director of evaluation and follow-up at the Ministry of Education Nadia Bu-Qais mentioned that the tips provided by officials of the program achieved the desired benefit, which reflected on the final report where the register of learning made work easier.
Participants then discussed the detailed schedule of leadership program, which will run for four months, as electronic training team gave a presentation about electronic training, which calls for creativity and enjoyment through learning, away from the traditional stereotypes.
It is worth mentioning that the Institute of Public Administration is in the process of preparing and designing new leadership programs that are suitable for multiple occupational levels, in quest of developing government leaders and triggering the Bahraini model for administrative leadership at work.
