In its diligent quest for expanding the provided services, the Institute of Public Administration is currently providing consultation service to the Sultanate of Oman in order to establish a special unit for e-training at the Omani Ministry of Civil Service, where this service came within steps to begin the transition to the phase of electronic consultation, after the success of the Institute in e-training at local level.
In regard to the details of this consultation, Senior Director of Basic Development and Creative Learning Mohammed Al-Saba'a indicated that this advisory service has been agreed upon after several visits to the Omani Ministry of Civil Service, the study includes carrying out feasibility study, development of an implementation plan for the project in addition to the descriptions of programs and systems, and characterization of organizational structure, where the period will extend for a six months starting November.
Mr. Al-Saba'a added that the Institute of Public Administration seeks through providing consultation to expand the base of its services in the field of e-learning through the activation of cooperation with various authorities regionally and globally in order to increase the e-initiatives, as earlier initiatives demonstrated the efficiency of the Institute and excellence in e-content development, where the recent international tribute and appreciation to Bahrain's initiative – represented by the Institute of Public Administration – at the launch of Italy's first global center for training of cadres in government departments, was a great evidence of the success of the Institute's training strategy.
It is worth mentioning that at the level of Gulf participation, the Institute of Public Administration launched in the current month of December, a joint electronic course at the GCC level entitled managerial skills development, aimed for deepening the concept of administrative development in various aspects.
