Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, emphasized the importance of keeping pace with best technological practices in alignment with government work principles aimed at achieving efficiency and innovation in public service delivery. She highlighted that the Institute of Public Administration will continue its efforts to provide a common platform that brings together all government leaders to develop future plans and administrative policies that keep pace with the latest scientific advancements and modern technologies in government work.
Her remarks came during her participation in the sixth edition of the “Roundtable” meeting, organized by the Institute under the theme “Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in Government Work.” The event brought together undersecretaries, assistant undersecretaries, and equivalent officials from various government institutions.
Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa noted that the roundtable discussion examined leading administrative methodologies implemented in both public and private institutions worldwide. These were then compared with Bahrain’s experience, identifying key similarities and differences while exploring opportunities to enhance administrative practices in government institutions based on evidence-driven and scientific methodologies.
She further explained that the “Roundtable” serves as a key research-driven administrative mechanism that the Institute hosts to facilitate discussions among decision-makers in government institutions. The goal is to identify the most effective strategies for improving the quality of public services and projects that align with citizens’ aspirations. The discussions, supported by a group of international experts, culminate in recommendations that contribute to advancing government work in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
