The Institute of Public Administration graduated more than 40 trainees who took part in the preparation diploma program for the public sector, following their graduation presentation over a period of two consecutive days. The eighth batch and included trainees from various government bodies and agencies, where the program had four units as follows; definition of government work, effective work teams, planning for implementation of tasks and processes, and communication skills and customer service.
The graduation presentation dealt with different issues the trainees consider important to raise, on the first day of displaying graduation projects the process development was reviewed, the impact of lack of coordination between the four survey body and how to deal with it, the government employee card, enhance administrative and social communication between the departments and the staff of the a ministry, and inventory mechanism and update data and statistics at the government ministries and electronic archive.
As for the second day the graduation presentations included creating the concept of voluntary work in the government sector, the impact of the use of electronic health records on the efficiency and quality of work in health centers, follow-up of electronic files and the impact of lack of knowledge of public sector employees of their employment tasks to organize the work in addition to a proposal to develop the work processes for Hajj campaigns.
It is worth mentioning that the preparation diploma program for the government sector, which will receive the ninth batch on 26th of next August, consists of a set of short courses, lectures and workshops aiming at preparing and qualifying employees of the public sector to get involved in their government work easily, as this is the first program of its kind in the region that was redesigned based on a study of identifying training needs carried out by the Institute of Public Administration to be suitable for Bahrain situation and the needs of the public sector.
