The Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) announces receiving working papers summaries for participation in the conference of the Middle East and North Africa Public Administration Research (MENAPAR), which will be held from 23rd to 24th of next April, as the conference seeks to establish scientific research agenda for public administration, where its output is to serve the public sector and characterized by the diversity of practitioners from the Arab countries, which will enrich the exchange of experiences and knowledge in the fields of public administration sciences, based on analyzing and studying many of the current issues.
BIPA’s Scientific Committee called all who wish to participate in the presentation of their administrative experiences and practices, which should be in line with the themes of the conference; to provide summaries of their papers no later than 2nd of next March, with no more than 2000 words and not less than 1000 words, and for more information and details please visit the conference website. www.bipa.gov.bh/menapar.
The themes of the conference include topics related to the Arabic public administration such as strategies for capacity building in the public sector, the involvement of staff and talent management in the public sector, leadership in the public sector, transformational government, open government and e-citizenship, quality management in public administration, public administration and regional governance, partnerships between public and private sectors, public finance management, policy-making and evaluation process, delivery of public service, innovation in the public sector, measuring the performance of public administration, and political-administrative relations.
It is worth mentioning that MENAPAR initiative comes in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), as the initiative idea was launched from BIPA’s intuition for the need of the Middle East and North Africa region for specialized research in the field of public administration (PA), stemming from PA practitioners in particular, also the conference was supported by the International Institute for Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and the International Association of schools and Institutes of Public Administration (IASIA) which are the two largest organizations specialized in the affairs of administrative sciences at the international level.
