Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, the Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, and member of the Middle East and North Africa Public Administration and Research Network (MENAPAR), affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain invests in national leaders in all fields and develops their research capabilities as a top priority that raises the outcomes presented. Her Excellency pointed out that the Institute of Public Administration is keen to harness and develop the research capabilities of all its affiliates and spread the awareness of scientific research in the Institutional work system in both the private and public sectors which will raise the quality of the institutional outputs based on precise scientific methodologies and fundamentals.
Her Excellency’s statement came during her attendance of a number of scientific sessions at the joint International Conference between the Middle East and North Africa Public Administration and Research Network(MENAPAR) and the Association of Middle East Public Policy and Administration (AMEPPA), under the theme: “Policies, Governance and Leadership during times of Crises in the Middle East and North Africa region”, being held from the 7th of December to the 10th of December, organized and hosted by the American University of Cairo in joint cooperation with the Institutes of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa noted during her comment in a scientific session entitled: The Bahraini Woman in the leadership field: towards an integrated institutional system in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which has provided the Bahraini woman all the necessities in supporting the progress and stability of her leadership.
Her Excellency also pointed to the level of Bahraini participation through the presentation of scientific papers which discussed institutional matters on the role of National leaders in the management of crises and innovative practices adopted by the Kingdom of Bahrain during the Corona Pandemic, where by Dr Abdulla Abu Al Shook, from the Ministry of Interior presented a working paper entitled: The management Corona crises in the Kingdom of Bahrain, also Rufaida Abdul Mohsen Al Mahmood from the Institute of Public Administration and Tasneem Abdulla Isa jointly presented their paper entitled: The Role of National Leaders during the Covid-19 Pandemic; between public and private sector establishments in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Her Excellency Dr Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa added that these papers will be benefited from, circulated and published as part of the Institute’s keenest to maintain these papers the as the official reference for studies, researchers and scientists papers towards bolstering the institute’s strategy to raise the capabilities of national leaders and cadres from various levels of profession in both the private and public sectors.
She added that the Institute of Public Administration today plays a pivotal role in the MENAPAR network as part of its effective membership and its keenness to participate in creating a scientific agenda and its contribution in presenting and supervising of a number of crucial sessions while affirming that the Institute of Public Administration will continue to play its role to strengthen the Kingdom of Bahrain’s place in the scientific and research circles, as one if the founding member, in fields of scientific research and organizing conferences and gathering in the field of science and research, with the aim of achieving innovative solutions and initiatives to face the challenges confronting the region, based on appropriate and sound foundations, methodologies and mechanisms.
