Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s approach to consolidating the values of tolerance, coexistence and peace is a consistent and rooted approach in Bahraini society.
Her statement came during her meeting with His Excellency Ambassador Dr. David Fernandez Pouyana, Permanent Commissioner of the United Nations University for Peace Mission in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the University’s Permanent Representative to UNESCO, where they discussed a number of topics of common interest.
Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa explained that the Institute of Public Administration seeks to open broader horizons of cooperation with the United Nations University for Peace in the fields of training, consulting, research and the fields of coaching, by promoting community peace, as an active element in the initiatives, projects and plans of the Institute, in a way that contributes to the preparation and development of national leaders in the public and private sectors, capable of making decisions, policy-making and building national plans in accordance with the best methodologies and applied practices that constitute peace as one of its most prominent components.
For his part, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. David Fernandez Pouyana, Permanent Commissioner of the United Nations University for Peace Mission in the Kingdom of Bahrain, praised the international achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and its qualitative initiatives in the field of promoting peace, and making it a key element in the process of achieving developmental resurgence, looking forward to opening wider paths of cooperation and building a strategic partnership with the Institute of Public Administration to employ peace as an essential element in the training process.
