The works of the Assessment Centre at the Institute of Public Administration have started for this year by carrying out “Sekomitri” test to assess the behavioral competencies of 18 Director – who recently joined the Government Leaders Preparation Program in the current month of January – in order to support the training and development processes in various government bodies and ministries.
The Executive Director of the Assessment Center Nader Al-Khalili stated that this center specializes in measuring and assessing competencies (efficiencies) with their different behavioral, knowledge and skills types, in addition to carrying out assessment of the training needs for the public sector. The center aims at staff assessment, especially the incumbents of senior positions to support the development of personal capabilities, which contributes to laying down a development plan for the employees, also aims to support decision-making in the selection of staff for appointment and filling vacancies of jobs.
It is worth mentioning that the assessment center has become a key supporter for the development of assessment processes in the Institute's programs since its establishment beginning of 2012, emanating from Institute's strong belief in the significance returns of the assessment on public sector such as minimizing competencies gap, and achieving optimum utilization of national cadres.
