H.E. Minister of Sustainable Development Noor bint Ali Al Khalaif affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to involve Bahraini youth in achieving sustainable development by vitalizing them and providing them with opportunities to work in plans, projects and programs that fall under the government’s program (2023-2026) entitled “From Recovery to Sustainable Growth” aimed at achieving the aspirations of citizens and enhancing the sustainability of services provided to them. This came when Her Excellency met with the members of the fifth batch of the National Leadership Program “Hipo-Youth” Organized by the Institute of Public Administration in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and ENJAZ Bahrain.
For her part, Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, explained that the Hipo-Youth program comes in its role to participate in the process of qualifying Bahraini youth to be positive contributors to the growth of the national economy, as they are the main engine for achieving sustainable development. The program seeks to provide participants with a number of advanced skills that match current and future trends, and discover their abilities and talents with the aim of achieving local and international achievements. She pointed out that the Institute to date is the first government institution at the international level to include the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 in its programs related to building administrative capacities, towards upgrading institutional work in the Kingdom of Bahrain and building a generation of government leaders capable of continuing the process of sustainable development.
Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa added that the members of the fifth batch are in the process of preparing a set of studies based on trends in the field of leadership, using a set of scientific methodologies acquired by the participants from the training workshops during the program. The studies come in five main areas: leadership in the field of women, youth, people of determination, institutional work, community field and social responsibility.
