The Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) Director General Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams said the existing strategic and knowledge partnership between BIPA and the eGovernment contributes to the upgrading of the Public administration sector in Bahrain.
The people in charge of the eGovernment are supporting BIPA efforts and all the programmes and activities it presents to boost the public administration sector in the kingdom of Bahrain and push forward the training plans of government ministries in a way that upgrades public administration and backs up the social and economic development plans in the kingdom, he added.
Bin Shams made these remarks in reference to the United Nations Public Service Forum 2013 (UNPSF) to be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain on June 24-27, 2013. The UNPSF is to be held for the first time in Bahrain and the Middle East region and is expected to pour into realizing the eGovernment objectives, namely the upgrading of the public administration and the civil service sector.
He says BIPA will work hand in hand with the e-Government to ensure success to the UN forum, pointing out that BIPA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) whereby it will participate in the forum with a special working session under the theme of the ” leadership of a transformational eGovernment” to highlight the importance of competencies in leading the progress of the transformational eGovernment.
BIPA will also take part in the 5th workshop, set to look into the appropriate ways of creating a favorable environment for government work leadership and economic development through inventions and eGovernment, Bin Shams added.
In the same context, the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) Chief Executive Mohammed Al Qaed described the BIPA- offered training programmes to the private sector employees and all government institutions and official bodies as being in total consonance with the Bahrain eGovernment strategy in that they both aim to develop human resources at government sectors, reinforce administrative roles, decision making and social responsibility, perk up customer relationship and improve the institution's overall performance.
