

The Secretary-General of the Ombudsman Nawaf Mohammed Al-Ma'awda received on Tuesday, 31st March, 2015 at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Ombudsman at Seef District, a delegation of the participants in the 11th batch of the government leaders preparation program (leaders) of the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), led by the Director General of the Institute HE Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams, where the Secretary-General of the Ombudsman welcomed the visit of the delegation, expressing contentment on the positive cooperation and communication with BIPA, that works in favor of human development and progress, which is the basic foundation for the success and the work of any organization.
The Secretary-General of the Ombudsman also briefed the delegation about the nature of the work of the General Secretariat of the Ombudsman, and the administrative and functional structure, pointing out also to the continued professional and administrative development training programs for the working cadres, which are held with the participation of experts who possess high skills and efficiency either in or out of Bahrain.
The Secretary-General of the Ombudsman underlined BIPA’s role in the preparation of government leaders through the offered programs, including the Government Leaders Preparation Program (leaders).
For his part, Director General of the Institute stated that this field visit by the participants in the (leaders) program come out of the “National Action Charter”, which is one of the pillars of the national program for the preparation and development of government leaders, and derived more particularly from the theme entitled “Care for Customers and Partners,” which is one of the five roles of the administrative leader in the Bahraini Model of Leadership.
In more details, Dr. bin Shams added that the administrative leader who BIPA aspire to provide the government action suit, has to be fully aware of the importance of the various institutional values that contribute to the achievement of the strategic objectives of the government institutions, and in this regard the General Secretariat of the Ombudsman was selected, being a unique authority in its administrative services, rich in values of accountability and professionalism, customer care, accepting the opinions of others, impartiality, cooperation and transparency, making the Secretariat a distinctive model to brief the directors participating in the (leaders) program.
It is noteworthy that the Government Leaders Preparation Program (leaders) is targeting directors category and the like whom their appointment decision was issued, in ministries and government institutions, or the institutions which are not-affiliated under the umbrella of the Civil Service Law, and this field visit of the participants in the (leaders) program to the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Ombudsman came in the framework of the Institute’s keenness to achieve numerous positive results in the training of personnel and developing their skills by organizing field visits to government agencies in order to get direct contact with the functions and responsibilities of the various government sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
