

Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, emphasized that the leadership program offered to employees of Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) aligns with the government’s direction to develop national cadres working in the private sector, making them the primary choice and main driver for achieving national plans and economic aspirations. She added that the Institute is keen to continue investing in national talents in both the public and private sectors by equipping them with expertise that meets current and future requirements. This approach aligns with the goals of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the esteemed King of the country, and is closely followed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
This statement was made during the graduation ceremony of the first and second cohorts of the BAS National Leadership Development Program, presented by the Institute of Public Administration to BAS employees, on the sidelines of the Bahrain International Airshow.
For his part, Mr. Mohamed Khalil Ahmed, CEO of Bahrain Airport Services (BAS), expressed his pride in the graduates’ achievements, saying: “Today, we celebrate the graduates of this leadership program who have shown commitment and outstanding efforts to develop their capabilities. At BAS, we view this strategic partnership with the Institute of Public Administration as an opportunity to enhance our future vision by investing in national cadres and qualifying them to meet our institutional aspirations and national ambitions.” He added that the program is an important step towards preparing capable national leaders who assume their responsibilities professionally, contributing to raising performance levels through optimal investment in human resources, in line with the goals of Bahrain’s comprehensive development process.
It is worth noting that the program was specifically designed to meet the needs of BAS employees. The program primarily aims to enhance leadership thinking and develop leadership skills. It included several key areas, notably project management, problem-solving, and strengthening concepts of corporate culture among BAS employees. This approach reflects positively on performance quality and achievement within the institutional work system and contributes to promoting values of teamwork in an integrated and coordinated manner across various departments and sections of the company.
