The Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) hosted, within the preparation diploma program for government leaders (LEADERS), His Excellency the Minister of State for Follow-up Affairs Mr. Mohammed Al-Mutawa, and in an introductory meeting with the participants of the 8th batch of the program, HE confirmed the need to implement the government action program according to the agreed and fixed time plans, provided that the national indicators are to measure the performance of government ministries and bodies, in order to help decision makers to take the right decisions to be linked to projects and action program of the government.
The minister stressed the important role played by the middle management represented in the directors and officials at government ministries, who shoulder the responsibility to implement the action program of the government, betting so on the efficiency and high capacities enjoyed by the Bahraini directors, for whom BIPA had designed the Bahraini model for leadership, considering the Bahraini directors as being the core of the preparation diploma program for government leaders.
The minister also reviewed in his speech, several important aspects linking between the achievement of government action program as planned and within the set time frame on one hand, and the empowering of directors’ leadership in the government administration from the other hand, where what offered by (the leaders) program contributes mainly to instill the most important concepts and up to date requirements for the new director in office, in accordance with the standards of government leadership work required to achieve the Kingdom of Bahrain economic vision 2030.
In his speech, Mr. Al-Mutawa also mentioned the orientations of the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain in developing the four main themes of the government action program, in which the role of BIPA came within the main theme related to the policy of human and social development, and specifically with regard to (the development of government performance), stressing that the government action program has a priority for implementation.
HE explained that the continuous follow-up stems from the importance of this program, which seeks to achieve one goal and a clear vision which is boosting up the government work for serving the country and citizens, through the activation of cooperation and partnership among government ministries accurately and according to a set time schedule to improve government performance.
This hosting came within a series of continued bringing-ins adopted by BIPA to activate direct meetings with experts in the field of leadership and management, in order to achieve direct interaction with these leaders and take advantage of their extensive expertise and many experiences.
It is worth mentioning that BIPA had designed leaders program to feed the government sector with qualified Bahraini models that capable of leading and managing, according to the needs of various government ministries and agencies, and in response at the same time with the resolutions of the Cabinet and the Civil Service Bureau to make the new directors joining and getting a training program to achieve the orientations and aspirations of the government in accordance with the Economic Vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
