His Excellency, Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, the Chief Executive Officer of the Information and eGovernment Authority(iGA) and the Chairman of the Government Service Centers Evaluation Committee, affirmed that the forward-looking vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, May Allah keep him safe, has drawn a clear and strategic path for the improvement of government services provided to the citizens by increasing the speed, quality and efficiency. He added that this ensures that the public sector establishments’ performance is at par with the variables in order to achieve sustainability in various sectors and raise the competitiveness of the national economy.
His excellency’s statement came during the discussion panel that was held by the Government Services centers evaluation committee under the theme “Future of Government Services centers in the Kingdom of Bahrain”.
Mr. Al Qaed explained that the discussion panel held in cooperation between the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) and Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA), aims to provide administrative space based on best scientific mechanisms for discussion and consultations on the future of Government Service Centers in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and means of developing the evaluation criteria in line with the changes and developments, and match the needs of the current and future stages.
He added that the outputs of this discussion panel have drawn a clear and forward-looking approach to the evaluation criteria of the service centers and the use of creativity and innovation in improving the quality and efficiency of government services, and to adopt accuracy and transparency as an essential pillar of the evaluation to create an impact to achieve the central goal; to raise the quality of services, where by the evaluation criteria will be in line with the national ambitions aimed at improving the quality of services and making the aspirations of citizens the main driver behind every government action.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, the Director General of Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) and the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for the Evaluation of Government Service Centers, stated that the Institute has organized and managed the scientific aspect of the discussion panel to serve the joint governmental visions and aspirations aimed at making the service of citizens the main driver for improving government work. He added that the Institute was keen on employing its modern mechanisms and collective experience to provide a governmental working environment that brings together the different sectors and concerned individuals for the improvement of government service centers, and to exchange ideas and different views, and come out with recommendations that fall in place directly in the field of improving efficiency of the the evaluation criteria which in turn will raise the performance of the government service centers and realize their desired aspirations, and create an administrative competitiveness that will improve the outputs and will later reflect on the National Economy.
