The Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), in collaboration with the eGovernment Authority incorporated a free package of e-training courses within the national portal services Bahrain.bh, in order to provide the opportunity for all employees of the government authorities and ministries to take advantage of e-training courses offered by the institute, via registering directly through the e-portal.
In this regard, Senior Director of Basic Development and Creative Learning at BIPA Mohammed Al-Saba’a stated that the Institute has a tendency to embrace latest techniques and methods that will create an advanced training atmosphere by adopting latest technologies and practices, in order to develop public administration and training in various ministries and institutions in the country, and contribute to the preparation and training of staff, where the institute has been working to establish an integrated electronic environment, that allows training and learning opportunities to employees through e-training project, which adopts an evolving concept which employs flexibility.
Mr. Al-Saba'a stated that all employees of government agencies who are registered in Civil Service Bureau (CSB), can take advantage of “civil servants services” by visiting the national portal site www.bahrain.bh, which allows them – in addition to viewing their personal and professional information and other information as well, accessing e-training services pertaining to government employees, where these services allow staff to register for enrolling in the e-training courses that are provided in Arabic, also allows the possibility of withdrawal from electronically pre- registered course through the e-government portal.
Furthermore, Mr. Al-Saba'a called on all government employees to register through visiting www.bahrain.bh or www.bipa.gov.bh, to be able to take advantage of “BIPA's Services”, falling under “civil servants services”, where government employees can create an account in BIPA's system for managing training process, which enables the user to search for courses and review the available courses and register or withdraw from courses, noting that the system does not allow the user to register in any new course before completing pre-registered course.
Mr. Al-Saba'a indicated that there are rules and requirements for registration in e-courses at the institute, shown on e-service page and associated with BIPA's system for managing training process, in order to organize training process and ensure benefiting larger possible number of participants, also the service is interactive; as users can receive notifications by e-mail and short messages service (SMS) to confirm their registration, as well as informing them of the need to complete the course they enrolled in during the specified time.
