The Institute of Public Administration has announced the launch of its new strategy for the years 2024-2028, introducing its new vision under the theme “Center for Leadership Thought and Administrative Development.” This strategy was recently approved during a meeting of the institute’s Board of Directors, chaired by His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister.
Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, explained that this vision aligns with the institute’s strategy to advance administrative development and provide high-quality training to Bahrain’s national workforce. The strategy incorporates various training methods, coaching, research, and consultancy services. Additionally, it aims to strengthen the institute’s role in the creation of knowledge and administrative sciences, establishing it as a “Center for Leadership Thought.” Through the training and development of talents and resources, the institute seeks to elevate the level of administrative development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa highlighted that the institute’s ambitious new vision accompanies an expansion of its diverse training services. This includes the introduction of several new courses, particularly those aimed at enhancing national and institutional loyalty, as well as content that showcases the nation’s achievements under the prosperous reign of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, may Allah protect him, and the dedicated support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may Allah protect him. The vision also emphasizes staying abreast of modern developments in training, particularly in areas related to artificial intelligence, innovation, and creativity skills.
External Expansion and Providing Services to the Private Sector
The Director General of the Institute of Public Administration explained that the recent Decree No. 24 of 2022, which amends certain provisions of Decree No. 65 of 2006 regarding the establishment and organization of the Institute of Public Administration, will enable the institute to expand its operations. This expansion includes offering administrative development services, leadership training, and knowledge creation to the private sector alongside the public sector. Additionally, it will open greater opportunities to share Bahraini administrative expertise through the institute by extending its services to Gulf, regional, and international institutions.
She expressed deep appreciation for the ongoing support the institute receives from the Board of Directors, led by His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, and the esteemed members of the board. Their encouragement of all innovative ideas, programs, and newly introduced services has been invaluable. She affirmed that the institute is committed to advancing to a new level in knowledge creation, leadership development, and talent refinement. The institute continues to promote a culture of innovation and creativity in both the public and private sectors, solidifying its position as a center for leadership thought and administrative development.
Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Al Khalifa noted that the new strategy is based on three strategic pillars: Enhancing service effectiveness, Fostering a prosperous economy, and Supporting knowledge and creativity. These pillars aim to achieve several key objectives, including the design and development of services, leadership building, administrative development, scientific research to support innovation and administrative growth, personal and institutional development, the dissemination of administrative trends, and business development.
She concluded her statement by extending her gratitude to all of the institute’s partners and beneficiaries of its various training services. She also expressed her pride in the institute’s graduates from various sectors, who have successfully applied the administrative skills and knowledge gained through the institute’s programs to advance in their professional careers, thereby contributing to the ongoing development and progress of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
