Institute for Public Administration organizes a Round Table event with the participation of a number of Undersecretaries and Assistant undersecretaries
His Excellency Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, the Director General of Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA), affirmed that the recovery phase of the Corona virus pandemic (Covid-19) and the return to administrative work in line with the requirements of the current and future phases, needs cooperation and solidarity of all the parties involved.
His Excellency explained that the Institute for Public Administration will continue its work to ensure a common ground that will bring together all the government leaderships in order to draft future plans and administrative policies to overcome future challenges and changes related to the repercussions of the pandemic.
His Excellencies remarks came during the “Round Table” event entitled “Foreseeing the future of work” with the participation of a group of Undersecretaries and Assistant Undersecretaries from various government establishments.
Dr. Bin Shams pointed out that the round table discussion entitled “Foreseeing the future of work” focused on the concept of “strategic foresight” which is the key determinant that can help the officials in the decision making departments to take futuristic decisions that concur with developments of the current circumstances and the challenges that the Corona Pandemic has enforced. His Excellency noted that the countries of the world today face huge challenges related to the future of the Labour market and its nature, which necessitates us in the system of government work and administrative work to strive to keep pace with the rapid developments in the technologies and administrative methods in order to achieve growth and fulfill the growing demand in this important market.
Dr. Bin Shams further explained that the ” Round Table Discussion” is considered one of the most prominent periodic events organized by the Institute in order to bring together views of leaderships of the government establishments regarding the best means to achieve the goals of the Kingdom of Bahrain and achieve the Bahrain Vision 2030 by applying the best administrative practices which contribute to raising the quality of the government services and projects which fulfill the aspiration of the citizens.
His Excellency added that the round table discussion aims to list the challenges in the services sector and the administrative and policy sectors in order to create opportunities and to turn them into success stories with the help of experts and then raise them as recommendations to access projects that promote government work in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
