

His Excellency Mr. Yousif Bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Legal Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour, and member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Public Administration, affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to providing all necessary foundations and resources to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of Bahraini youth, making them the first choice in the labor market. He added that the “Khebrat” Program, organized by the Institute of Public Administration in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, is a distinguished initiative that contributes to raising the capabilities of young Bahrainis seeking employment and experience, and equips them with the skills needed to enter the labor market and actively contribute to driving sustainable development.
During the closing ceremony of the second and third editions of the “Khebrat” Program, Minister Khalaf praised the ongoing cooperation between the Ministry of Labour and the Institute of Public Administration, emphasizing that this partnership supports employment opportunities and competitiveness for job seekers by equipping them with professional skills aligned with labor market needs. He also expressed the Ministry’s appreciation for the Institute’s efforts in offering professional training programs tailored for job seekers, especially considering the rapid development of modern technologies and evolving job requirements. This, he stressed, necessitates the continuous development of training and education programs to keep pace with labor market changes and ensure that the national workforce is equipped with the required professional skills.
For her part, Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, reaffirmed the Institute’s ongoing efforts to explore mechanisms for continuously advancing the training and administrative development system in alignment with the needs of young national talent. She emphasized this as a strategic goal the Institute, in cooperation with its partners, strives to achieve following the highest international standards and systems. She added that the success of the program was driven by the Kingdom of Bahrain’s strategic planning and belief in the ambition, competence, and exceptional capabilities of Bahraini youth, whose competitiveness requires continued investment in their talents and support for their ideas.
Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa also noted that a total of 70 participants have benefited from the “Khebrat” Program over the past two years. During their on-the-job training in private sector institutions, they successfully delivered more than 37 projects. She further announced that the Institute, in coordination with the Ministry of Labour, is currently preparing to launch upcoming cohorts of the program, aiming to benefit a larger number of Bahraini youth seeking employment and practical experience.
