Ghada Shana`a the Director of Assessment at the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) stated that promoting and spreading the culture of Coaching/Counseling in the Government establishments by qualifying the mentors (Coaches) and the training of youth leaders and officials in coaching skills has contributed in creating a government work environment that is attractive and promotes growth, creativity and achievement. She explained that the Institute for Public Administration has today become a local and regional reference model in the field of coaching through a multi-goal strategy and its tools.
Her statement came during her participation in the dialogue session that was held on the sidelines of the Fifth (5th) edition of the award ceremony of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) for the announcement of the Prism Middle East Award for 2021.
Ghada Shana`a affirmed that this dialogue session reflected the importance of highlighting Coaching and its role in the progress of Individuals and raising the efficiency of the government cadres which in turn contributes in achieving the developmental plans and reinforces both the government work and the private sector work systems. She pointed out that the Kingdom of Bahrain, represented by the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) has adopted coaching as one of its core mechanisms for improving performance of government leaders and raise the level of the outputs of government work.
Ms. Shana`a added that the attaining of the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) of the Prism Award for a second time affirms the Institute’s keenness to activate the exclusive strategy for coaching and adopting it in all its programs, initiatives and projects in order to improve the work environment in the Government sector and to keep pace with the transformation in the nature of government work which calls for efforts to raise the efficiency of the government human resources which are deemed as one of the most important factors in achieving sustainable development and progress in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
