Seef District –The Bahrain Institute of Public Administration:
The Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) received the participants in the professional degree program in the foundations of human resources from all functional levels representing various ministries and government bodies. The program comes in collaboration with the Australian Institute of Human Resources, which directs the growth of the human resources profession through the development of standards and capacity building to the profession via its partnerships and close international association with different bodies, academia and competent authorities to make sure to create the proper framework for the professional recognition of members.
During the past two years, the Institute graduated more than 133 government staff of this professional program, and now BIPA received the eighth batch of 20 trainees who were trained for three months on a regular basis. The training process is overseen by a group of Bahraini experienced trainers who enjoy efficiency and capabilities. They introduced the participants of this program to the most important and latest changes in the concepts and skills of personnel and human resources management.
The professional degree program discusses important topics in foundations of human resources such introducing the human resources and employment management cycle, how to discover and develop talents. The program focuses on performance management, occupational health and safety, in addition to measuring the effectiveness of human resources.
Training methodology is based mainly on workshops that meet the needs of the specialist of human resources management and personnel management as defined by the results of research identifying the core competencies by the Australian Institute.
It is worth mentioning that the professional degree program in the foundations of human resources is part of a series of professional programs offered by the Institute to meet the specialized needs in different fields. The program aimed to improve and develop the competencies and provide better government services in the public sector.
