

His Excellency Mr. Nabeel Bin Yaqub Al-Hamar, Advisor to His Majesty the King for Media Affairs, affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to preparing national talents who possess a strategic mindset capable of fulfilling aspirations in line with national priorities. He emphasized that these talents are the backbone of development and the main driving force in the Kingdom’s ongoing journey of progress and construction. He also pointed out that national leaders possess exceptional competencies that contribute to advancing the governmental work system.
This came during his meeting with the 34th cohort of the “Qiyadat” Program, which is delivered by the Institute of Public Administration for public sector directors as part of the National leadership development program.
His Excellency Mr. Nabeel Bin Yaqub Al-Hamar stated that such leadership programs, presented by the Institute of Public Administration under the National Leadership Development Program for all public sector employees, provide a shared space for exchanging knowledge and accumulated experiences based on administrative practices from various sectors. He also highlighted the program’s role in enhancing the capacities of national leaders to adapt to emerging trends and changes, thereby ensuring the sustainability of institutional work and the advancement of the government work system in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
For her part, Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, emphasized that the program represents an important milestone in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts to build capacities and empower national leaders with the skills and tools necessary to enhance their contributions to the development of the government work system. She added that the Institute is keen to maximize the benefits of the program, which has been designed under international standards and tailored to meet the actual needs of public sector employees in Bahrain. This, she noted, contributes to achieving national outcomes aligned with government development plans and initiatives.
She also pointed out that participants in the 34th cohort of the “Qiyadat” Program are preparing a set of strategic projects and plans using the latest scientific methodologies acquired through various program modules and training workshops throughout their participation in the program.

Brief about the Institute:
The Institute was established by Decree No. 65 of 2006, issued by His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain on June 28, 2006. It is a government entity affiliated with the Cabinet.
In line with its responsibilities, the Institute of Public Administration works to enhance government performance in areas such as policies, strategies, resource management, change management, and the development of government services. This is achieved through skill development, behavior enhancement, and knowledge acquisition via learning and training. Additionally, the Institute contributes to decision-making through consulting, problem-solving using scientific research methods, and capacity-building through assessment and personal coaching. Furthermore, the Institute promotes awareness and fosters a culture of government performance through strategic communication.
