Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa the Director General of the Institute of Public Administration affirmed that the institute endeavors for the progress of women and strengthen their contributions in the management field in line with the objectives of the Supreme Council for Women under the leadership of Her Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, the wife of His Majesty the King and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Women, aimed at continously bolstering the role of the Bahraini woman in various developmental areas.
She highlighted the status of the women today as an essential component in the field of research and making institutional policies and strategies that reflect positively on the process of development and progress witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Her Excellency’s statement came during her chairing of the equal opportunities committee at the Institute of Public Administration that discussed the latest research and training initiatives, and, academic sessions that the institute intends to launch in the upcoming period with the aim to strengthen equal opportunities and gender balance in both the private and the public sectors in the field of research and training .
Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa explained that the Institute of Public Administration strives through the Equal Opportunities Committee to creat a work environment supportive and protective of the working woman at the Institute at the same time endeavours to launch various initiatives to achieve gender balance in the field of training, research, counselling and coaching services it provides as essential institutional services to both private and public sectors.
Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa stated that the Institute is preparing to launch a number of initiatives aimed at highlighting best practices in leadership and management for a number of the Bahraini women leaders.
This will Include the study of a number of training initiatives to support the progress of the Bahraini women and develop their skills to become effective leaders and strengthen their role in learning and development to more advanced levels in order to push forward the wheels of sustainable development in all fields.
