Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa:51% of female government leaders at various professional echelons have benefited from the training services of the Institute during 2023
Her Excellency Dr Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa the Director General of the Institute of Public Administration affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may Allah protect him, and the continous follow-up of His Royal Highness, Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may Allah protect him,and the strenuous efforts of the Supreme Council for Women under the chairmanship of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa,the wife of His Majesty the King and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Women, May Allah protect her, have drawn a strategic path, as an example of support for the sustainable progress of women and involving them in the comprehensive development process to attain the desired national aspirations.
Her Excellency’s statement came during her chairing of the 4th quarterly meeting of the Equal Opportunities Committee that reviewed the latest results of the committee at the Institute of Public Administration for the year 2023, the important initiatives pertaining to the execution of the National plan, as well as the internal initiatives meant to provide equal opportunities, maintain gender balance and create a work environment that supports and secures the working women at the institute.
Her Excellency expressed her elation at the Institute’s strategic partnership with the Supreme Council for Women to provide the Gender balance program (Tawazon), whose Identity was revealed and was launched recently with in the council’s framework of efforts to build and develop the capabilities of members of the Equal Opportunities committees at the institutions of the Public sector when carrying out their duties, and enable them to employ methodologies and work instruments to create a national model for a balance between both genders as a guide when including women’s needs in the government work program, operational plans and when following up on the execution of laws and legislations and improving services pertaining to women and the family.
Her Excellency also expressed her delight as the Institute of Public Administration managed in the year 2023 to provide training services to 51% of female government leaders from various professional echelons as part of its national efforts to capacitate institutional cadres and make them the core axis in the advancement in the level of quality of the services provided.
