Dr. Bin Shams: we will continue with our efforts to draw the strategic paths for the future of Public Administration, and employing research and administrative methodologies in attaining development
His Excellency, Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, the Director General for the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) and President of the Middle East and North Africa Network for Public Administration and Research (MENAPAR), affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is an essential, active and effective component of the International research and Administrative community, pointing at the importance of exchanging administrative best practices and expertise in the Middle East and North Africa region.
He added that this in turn will bolster the regional efforts aimed at raising the administrative performance of individuals, the private sector and public sector establishments and civil society institutions in the region towards continued efforts in drawing strategic paths for the future of public administration and employing research and administrative methodologies in achieving local development and keeping pace with the future requirements associated with the application of digitalization to achieve the Arab aspirations at the level of Administrative work.
His Excellency’s statement came during the session on best practices in Public Administration held as part of the joint International Conference of the Middle East and North Africa Network for Administration and Research (MENAPR), under the theme (Regions, Digitization and Local Development: Integration and Future Prospects), organized and hosted by the National School for Administration in the city of Algiers, in cooperation with the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) in the Kingdom of Bahrain from the 27th to the 30th of November,2022, in the city of Algiers in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
Dr. Bin Shams stated that this session comes as part of the MENAPAR networks efforts to group the regional efforts in exchanging administrative practices, in addition to creating a competitive scientific administrative environment that contributes in increasing the productivity and creates an administrative research community able to apply best administrative practices in achieving comprehensive development in various fields and at all practical and scientific levels.
He pointed out that the network since its launch in 2014 has dedicated one day of every conference to review the best Arab Administrative practices and highlight the successful experiences from different countries.
His Excellency added that the Menapar Conference in the year 2022 in general and in particular during the session for best administrative practices strives to provide an open joint space between all the participants for the exchange of scientific expertise and best administrative practices and invest the knowledge pertaining to public Administration to achieve local development and bolster the use of digitalization to raise the administrative outputs in the Arab region.
