His Excellency Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, the Director General of the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) affirmed that the Institute in coordination with the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), and all government establishments regulating and operating the health care sector seeking in the next phase to draw a unified leadership path to develop the national administrative cadres working in the health sector. He said this is in line with the Health Insurance Project through providing best scientific methodologies and best applied practices in the field of health care management and organization, which advances leadership skills and in turn reflects on the quality of performance and the level of health services provided to all customers in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His statement came on the occasion of the round table event during which the Health Care Management Program was launched on the sidelines of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) conference and exhibition.
His Excellency Dr. Bin Shams explained that there is a joint vision between the institute for Public Administration (BIPA) and the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) and all partners, that reflects the National aspirations aimed at the development of the frameworks in the Health sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, by creating a work culture based on sound management and leadership principles. He added that the Health care Management Program has been designed based on the actual requirements of the heath sector, and based on the different professional levels of the health cadres to contribute in the progress of administrative work towards providing high quality health services inline with the aspirations of the citizens.
For her part Her Excellency, Dr. Mariam Athbi Al Jalahma, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) stated that the current phase of administrative work in the health sector, in government and private hospitals, requires keeping pace with the international development track and the latest methodologies in practice, which contributes in realizing the aspirations of the citizens and raising the standard of and quality and competitiveness of the services provided to the citizens.
She pointed out that continuous learning and training is a vital part of the progress of all those working in the Health sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain and that learning and training today is the best means to keep pace with the latest developments at the practical and functional levels.
