His Excellency Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, the Director General of the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration BIPA, stressed on the importance of bolstering tools of building Knowledge and Sciences related to Public Management, by charting a comprehensive administrative and strategic path that allows for exchange of best management practices and achieve maximum benefits from successful Management experiences.
He added that exposing Bahraini national cadres to these experiences would improve government outcomes and improve the performance of the government’s work system. His statement came during the meeting organized by the Institute of Public Administration for students of the Masters of Public Management program to exchange the best management practices and experiences that were presented at the Middle East and North Africa Public Administration research (MENAPAR) network conferences over the past years.
Dr. Bin Shams explained that this meeting aims to introduce the Masters Program in Public Management students to the best practices and experiences in Management, which will give the participating students an opportunity to come up with new and creative ideas for their graduation projects, which will contribute, to the development of the Government work system in Bahrain. He Pointed out that the Masters in Public Management Program executed by the Institute, offers the students various opportunities and activities on the sidelines of the program, to enhance the outcomes of their competencies, management behaviors and enable them to learn in a rich and opulent scientific environment, as this exchange of scientific experience and best management practices provide the new generation of government leaders with methodologies needed to make and take decisions that enhance the developmental infrastructure in the Kingdom of Bahrain and achieve the goals for sustainable development.
Other participating presenters at this meeting were, officials from numerous private and public establishments in the Kingdom of Bahrain including; His Excellency the Ambassador Ali Al Aradi, Director of Information Technology at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Reem Al Buainain, the Acting Deputy CEO for Academic Affairs at the Bahrain Polytechnic and Mr. Ashraf Hafiz Emam, Deputy CEO for Resources and Services at LMRA.
Other Presenters were, those who presented the best practices that have participated in the previous MENAPAR network conferences demonstrating to the students of the Masters Program the importance of employing scientific and applied methodologies to enhance the management practices in both the private and public sectors in the kingdom of Bahrain and in finding solutions to management challenges by creative means.
