His Excellency Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams, Director-General of Bahrain Institute of Public Administration “BIPA”, stated that the BIPA is engaged at present in preparing government leaderships capable of exploring the future in accordance with scientific foundations, and for this reason the BIPA seeks through the public administration master’s degree program to build government leaders capable of making decisions and devising government policies anchored on scientific bases. To realize this end, BIPA organizes focused discussion sessions for the students of the master’s degree program who avail of various experiences since they are attached to different government organizations and departments. He underscored the importance of the interactions between the program participants in these sessions in order to maximize the benefit of encouraging BIPA in a way that would induce the Institute to continue offering the public administration master’s degree.
The focused discussion sessions were organized by the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) for the participants in the first and second batch of the public administration master’s degree program with a view to exchanging opinions and ideas designed to advance the quality and output of the program, identification of the extent of consistency of the program output with the actual realities of the participants of the first and second batches and the degree of application of the program participants’ scientific knowledge to the practical applications while the participants are engaged in the routine and functional duties of their jobs.
Dr. Bin Shams further stated that the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration organizes focused discussion sessions in order to spawn and generate ideas, gather data, analyze findings and taking note of the remarks received from the participants in the public administration master’s degree program as the proponents of the program will benefit from such feedback and opinions in order to further develop the program outputs. The focused discussion groups are regarded as the most valuable tool and solution for evaluation of the training programs as they have demonstrated their ability to gather data and analyze findings in a way to attain development of the program’s training performance of the programs offered by the Institute.
