Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, the Director General of Bahrain Institute for Public Administration, BIPA, affirmed that the officials incharge of training at various government entities are the bridge between the Institute for Public Administration and the employees of the Public sector and that the development of national leadership, today is joint national work and responsibility.
He pointed out that the Institute’s training plan for the upcoming period has been developed after studying the actual training needs of the national government cadres in light of the current circumstances, which has focused on transforming the essential classroom based programmers of the institute to virtual programs and in the forefront of these is the National program for the development of Government leaderships.
Therefore the institute will begin with the launch of the program ‘Ta’sees’ and ‘Banaa’, for distance learning, with the start of next August, followed by a study of transformation of the remaining programs into electronic format.
His Excellency’s statement came during the virtual meeting held by the Institute for Public Administration for Training officials and Human resources at the government ministries and authorities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Dr. Bin Shams explained that this meeting also aimed to bolster the cooperation and communication between the Institute and all Government entities and provide ground for exchange of views and discussions on topics related to educational and training services provided by the institute for Public Administration in the coming period in light of the current circumstances and adhering to the preventative measures and social distancing rules.
Dr. Bin Shams stated that the meeting with those responsible for training in government entities also provided the opportunity to share with the attendees the vision for the evolving of governmnet work and adapting training mechanics and methodologies in order to provide government cadres with necessary expertise to realize excellent and comprehensive job performance.
Dr. Bin Shams further added that the meeting discussed a number of matters related to services and means for electronic learning that the institute for Public Administration has endorsed like e-lectures and e-courses, and also discussed the new directives of the institute in the field of e-learning and development.
His Excellency explained the the institute has created the live broadcasting of the training courses while maintaining the high standards of interactions and debates between the participants and trainers this is parallel with the institute’s efforts to execute the National Program to develop the leadership from a distance.
Dr. Bin Shams pointed that the meeting also addressed the evaluation and couching services and means of employing modern communication and internet tools in providing excellent and high quality services in this field, as well as the support to research services for university students and higher education students in the field of Public Managemnt ‘Ibhath’, and also discussed means of investment of what is being provided through facilities and logistical support to students towards continued support of the Kingdom of Bahrain in developing and enhancing the scientific research efforts in the field of Public Management regionally and globally.
