His Excellency Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin , the Director General of the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA), affirmed the importance of the development of the national trainer in order to upgrade the training sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain in a manner that serves the national aspirations, this he said will happen by developing a national policy to improve the Bahraini trainer by identifying the requirements of the trainers in the field of Leadership and Management in the Kingdom in line with the future directions of the Kingdom of Bahrain and achieving the Vision 2030.
His Excellency added that the “Bahraini Trainer” is the foundation for the progress of this vital sector, especially in the field of leadership and management training.
His statement came on the occasion of the launch by the Institute of its new study entitled “Identifying the needs of the trainers sector in the field of Leadership and Management in the Kingdom of Bahrain”, which is a national survey of 250 trainers in the field of Leadership and Management in various sectors.
Dr. Bin Shams pointed out that the strategic objective of this study is to prepare a national policy to upgrade the Bahraini trainers in the field of Leadership and Management in the Kingdom of Bahrain by creating a national data base for all the Bahraini trainers in their various specializations and preparing a scientific methodology to endorse the current trainers and the future trainers in the fields of Leadership and Management in the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Excellency added that this study is the launching point of the advancement of the trainers’ sector system in the Kingdom of Bahrain, by raising the quality of learning and development services provided to Bahraini citizens and residents.
Dr. Bin Shams explained that the outcomes have shown that 81% of the trainers depend on the training to obtain personal finances and as a primary source for financial support, that is this percentage determines the link of the trainer with the training as one of the sources for personal finance, and the study also shows that 77% of the trainers are providing training within the Kingdom of Bahrain. The results also showed that 60% of the trainers have professional certification with evidence of their certifications, the study also revealed that 46% of the trainers agree that their skills contribute in policy making decisions in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He clarified that the purpose of the study is to the create knowledge and science so as to make the Kingdom of Bahrain the Intellectual factory for science and knowledge in various specialties of Public Administration.
