Dr. Bin Shams: BIPA Talk is one of the Administration Gatherings vital to Government Policy makers towards unifying efforts to face the challenges in Administration
His Excellency Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, Director General for the Institute for Public Administration (BIPA), affirmed that BIPA Talk event is an important opportunity to unify efforts to achieve the aspirations of the citizens, who are the initial beneficiaries of Government services and affected by all Government policies issued by decision makers in the public sector. His comments came during the launch of the third BIPA Talk Event entitled “ Methodologies for facing Government challenges” and added that this event aims at finding systematic solutions for the challenges faced by the public sector by utilizing the best scientific methodologies and best Administrative practices.
Dr. Bin Shams explained that “BIPA Talk” is a vital research and administrative gathering that brings together Decision makers and leaders in Government and private sector under one umbrella, which reflects the Institute for Public Administration’s devotion to unite the efforts to enhance the Government work and Private sector systems and face the Administrative challenges in each sector.
He added, that BIPA Talk is one of the modern mechanisms adopted by the Institute with the aim to use scientific methodologies and research tools in the process of government policy making. Discussing ways to develop government policymaking tools aligned with the principles of scientific research and based on the best international management practices that can be re-employed in line with local needs and the labor market and to meet the aspirations of citizens by raising the level and quality of government services.
Dr. Bin Shams added that the Institute is keen on providing opportunities for exchange of expertise and knowledge between international experts and Bahraini leaders in Administration.
BIPA Talk hosted in this session Professor Mathew Anderson, the lecturer in Public Policy at Harvard University’s School of Kennedy. Professor Andrews, along with other participants addressed topics related to facilitating best practices in administration of modern establishments around the world in order to meet the local administrative needs and abilities to face the complex administrative challenges. The discussions looked at finding solutions and mechanisms to pinpoint the challenges; and to unravel the challenges and use them to create opportunities to meet the objectives of work in the private and public sector establishments.
