

Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, affirmed that training representatives in government entities represent a vital communication bridge between the Institute and public sector employees. She pointed out that the Institute’s upcoming training plan has been developed based on a thorough study of the actual training needs of national government cadres. This plan is aligned with the Institute’s vision and strategy, which aim to transform it into a center for leadership thinking and administrative development while preserving the achievements and gains of the Kingdom of Bahrain. At the forefront of these efforts is the National Leadership Development Program.
Her remarks came on the occasion of the meeting held for authorized training and human resources representatives from ministries and government agencies.
Her Excellency explained that this meeting aims to strengthen collaboration and communication between the Institute and all government entities, and to provide a platform for exchanging views and discussing matters related to the Institute’s training, assessment, consultancy, and research services for the upcoming period. She highlighted that meeting with training officers offers an opportunity to share perspectives on ways to improve government work and adapt training methodologies and mechanisms to equip government cadres with the necessary expertise to achieve comprehensive and outstanding job performance.
The meeting also covered the Institute’s plan in the fields of training, assessment, and coaching, as well as ways to employ modern assessment mechanisms and tools to deliver high-quality services. Additionally, participants discussed consulting and research services and how to leverage the support and logistical facilitation provided for scientific research.

Brief about the Institute:
The Institute was established by Decree No. 65 of 2006, issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain on June 28, 2006. It is a government entity affiliated with the Cabinet.
In line with its responsibilities, the Institute of Public Administration works to enhance government performance in areas such as policies, strategies, resource management, change management, and the development of government services. This is achieved through skill development, behavior enhancement, and knowledge acquisition via learning and training. Additionally, the Institute contributes to decision-making through consulting, problem-solving using scientific research methods, and capacity-building through assessment and personal coaching. Furthermore, the Institute promotes awareness and fosters a culture of government performance through strategic communication.
