His Excellency, Mr. Ahmed Bin Zayed Al Zayed the President of the Civil Service Bureau and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration ‘BIPA”, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain May Allah protect him, and the continuous follow-up by His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, May Allah protect him, places at the top of its work priorities, investment in the Bahraini citizen to raise his capabilities and develop his level of performance; and regards him as the main driver for development and achieving the national aspirations
His Excellency’s statement came as he chaired the meeting of the Institute for Public Administration ‘BIPA’s Board of Directors, during which the projects and initiatives of the Institute were discussed for both the private and public sectors for the year 2023.
Mr. Al Zayed explained that the National Program to develop the government leaders is regarded as vital for the development of National government cadres at various levels of their professions. He added that this program has contributed since its launch, in raising the efficiency of the government performance, and institutional outputs varying between government strategies, public policies, reengineering of institutional operations which have all bolstered the quality of the services provided to the citizens.
Mr. AL Zayed pointed out that the Institute for Public Administration “BIPA” is taking new steps today towards expanding its institutional work streams to include both the private and public sectors within the Kingdom of Bahrain and abroad, lauding the efforts of the institute since its establishment in expanding its local, regional and international collaborations, to include more than 70 countries.
He further added that the Masters in Public Management MPM program presented by the Institute for both the private and public sectors is one of the most prominent programs in the region that brings together the two aspects, the academic and professional, to develop the national cadres and enable them to manage the institutional work system.
For his part the Director General for the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration,” BIPA”, His Excellency, Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams said the governmental support witnessed by the Institute, and institutional confidence in the outputs, has raised the level of the national aspirations and contributed in expanding the institute’s scope of work to include both the private and public sectors. He pointed out that one of the foremost decision of the meeting was the relaunching of the Masters in Public Management Program MPM for the employees in the private and public sectors within the Kingdom of Bahrain and also the Arabian Gulf region, which will this year receive up to 50 percent of government support for the national cadres from the government sector, which confirms the Kingdom of Bahrain’s belief in the importance of developing the capabilities of national cadres in a way that contributes to meeting the national aspirations.
His Excellency, Dr. Bin Shams stated that the Board of Directors of the Institute have agreed to the launching of a number of programs and initiatives and also endorsed the Institute’s plans for the year 2023. Among the prominent programs that the institute plans to launch is the ‘Kheberat’ Program, in collaboration with a number of strategic partners such as the Ministry of Labour, Jafcon company and Al Amal (Hope)Talents, which aims to develop the Bahraini job seekers, and provide them with necessary skills, and practical experience with on the job training and involve them in a number of projects and initiatives in the private sector, after which they will be qualified to enter the job market and present institutional outputs equivalent to the level of expectations.
The institute will also prepare to launch the Public Health program which comes in line with the requirements of the Health sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which will constitute professional training for the administration of Health care and develop the cadres of the governmental and private sector health establishments based on the actual local needs of the health sector.
