His Excellency Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, Director-General of the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), has stressed the need for exchanging successful Arab expertise in public administration within our common denominator, with the aim of achieving visions and plans, which are in the interest of the Arab Homeland and Arab citizens. He stressed the necessity for the Arab countries to embrace national programs of leaderships for building leaders capable of keeping abreast of change, innovation and achievement of sustainability in the Arab region.
This was stated on the sidelines of the ceremony of signing a cooperation agreement between BIPA and the National Academy of Training and Capacity Building (Natcb) in the sisterly state of Sudan, which was represented by Her Excellency Afaf Ahmed Abdul Rahman, Director-General of the Academy.
Dr. Bin Shams commended the successful ingredients enjoyed by Sudan, together with the accumulated experiences in public administration. Such expertise have contributed to developing management work at various government sector of the republic. “It is important to develop bilateral relationships between these two sisterly states in order to open wider doors of close cooperation and to build up upon it for the benefit of both countries”, Dr. Bin Shams said.
The Sudanese delegation, headed by the Director-General of the Academy, viewed BIPA’s experiment in preparation and development of government leaders for possible application of such expertise to develop work at the Sudanese National Academy. In particular, the visitors were interested in the fields of guidance, counseling, assessment, design of leadership program and measurement of training returns.
Her Excellency Afaf Ahmed Abdul Rahman, Director-General of Natcb, commended the role of BIPA and their efforts in building up the MENA network, MENAPAR, which is one of the largest research network in the region. She was certain that BIPA has the ability to develop the public administration sector at the Arab World level. “BIPA makes research and training efforts that contribute to promoting the administration system of work in various sectors and at various levels”, she said. She praised BIPA’s ability to design leadership program and to develop capable Bahraini leaders to run Government system of work professionally and efficiently.
