His Excellency, Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams the Director General of Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) stressed on the importance of boosting and promoting the correct scientific concepts and practical mechanisms of the project management process in both the private and the public sectors. This, he said will take place through the professional training program due to its direct relationship to achieving sustainable development and the progress of the national economy which will fulfill the national expectations.
His statement came on the occasion of the cooperation between the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) and the Australian Institute for Project Management (IPM) to launch the Project Management Program.
Dr. Bin Shams explained that this cooperation comes with the aim to fulfill the actual needs of both the Public and private sectors’ systems as well as individuals in this vital and strategic specialization and to provide the national cadres with international professional certification that would enable them to manage the development process. He pointed out that the Institute endeavors continuously to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of Project Management to meet the training needs of the national cadres in the Kingdom of Bahrain and in the region, through monitoring and following the continuous developments and executing the specialized training programs that enhance the actual practices of project management in a scientific manner according to International standards.
For his part the Director General of the Australian institute for Project Management (IPM) Mr. Paul Muller, commented on the importance of the cooperation with the Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) and added that the international Diploma in Project Management with all of its four levels is considered an Internationally renowned qualification linked with the Australian qualification level. In addition to the scientific aspect, it provides job skills and competencies through tools, mechanisms, systems and standard measures necessary for effective project management, in a way that creates a conforming, safe and sound work environment, raises and improves the level of overall performance, enhances competitiveness, helps to avoid risk in the performance system, and supports the general practical and applied framework of the various professional sectors.
