Seef District –The Bahrain Institute of Public Administration:
The Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) in cooperation with the Southern Governorate organized presentation skills course for department heads and supervisors in the five governorates of the Kingdom, in the period from 7-10 May at the headquarters of the Southern Governorate. The aim of this course is to develop the skills of the participants using the methods and arts of speech, presentation, delivery and methods of attracting the attention of listeners and influence them.
Trainer Thabit Hijazi introduced modern concepts and arts of speech, good speaker skills, means of developing self-confidence and the ability to control fear and anxiety in order to achieve harmony with the public and create a consensus with the different characters by possessing the various practical skills such as controlling voice tones, body gestures and mastery of effective theatrical skills.
At the end of the course, the participants gave a presentation through which they applied the skills taught during the course including presentation planning, selection of the topic, presentation skills, overcome theater phobia, avoid lack of focus during the presentation, as well as time management during, use of body language to deal with difficult situations.
It is worth mentioning that BIPA aims through these courses to polish the national capacities within ongoing quality plans and programs which guarantee better level of performance, effectiveness to achieve the general strategy of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
