Seef District –The Bahrain Institute of Public Administration:
His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla, the Executive Director of the Olympic Committee of Bahrain expressed the extent of interest of the Committee to move serious steps forward, out of its belief in the importance of investment in the sports field and the large role played by sports in the moment, as it contributes to raising the reputation of Bahrain according to the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, which includes all fields.
This came during a ceremony of signing an agreement to provide advisory services between Bahrain Olympic Committee and the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) in the field of human resources management. The ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Committee. According to the agreement, a comprehensive assessment of the functional and administrative structure shall be made based on the needs of the Olympic Committee.
His Excellency Dr. Raed bin Shams Director General of the Institute of Public Administration said that the Institute, based on its vision in promoting the public sector, provide advisory services to enhance the performance of government and that the agreement with the Olympic Committee came to support the wheel of development within the framework of the vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain Economic 2030, where BIPA is working to meet the pressing issues such as performance measurement, staff development, progress in the field of management, policies and other relevant concepts.
The main provisions of the agreement, in addition to conducting comprehensive assessment of the functional and administrative structure, include proposals for various functions, carrying out a comprehensive study of the work undertake by the Human Resources Directorate, creating a new system for staff of Olympic Committee record and give examples of the mechanism of cooperation and coordination with other departments in the Olympic Committee, the creation of an integrated database for staff in all departments including personal data, employment status, professional and scientific level of qualification, practical experience needed, according to the Bahraini Olympic Committee.
The signing ceremony was attended by BIPA Deputy Director-General, Dr Sufian Sahrawi, the Executive Director of Business Development Youssef Al-Bader, the Director of the Office of the Director-General, acting director of public relations Mr. Hassan Qamber, and from the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the Executive Coordinator for Human Resources Directorate Ms. Seema Al Kharraz.
