Executive Director of Education and Development at the Institute of Public Administration “BIPA” Mr. Ishaq Ameen stated that the Institute and in the framework of its efforts to strengthen international partnerships with international training institutions, and to identify best practices in the areas of training and consultation, BIPA currently is considering the possibility of cooperation with the International foundation “INSEAD” based in France, “INSEAD” is rating, according to the Financial Times magazine, one of the top five training institutions in the world in providing training for institutions’ leaders.
This came during the visit carried out by Mr. Ameen to the French “INSEAD” foundation, through which he was briefed on the experiences of this institution in the field of developing institutional leaders, where a number of meetings were held with some specialists in charge of training programs in “INSEAD”, such as the Associate Dean for executive training programs Mr. Mark Roberts, and Senior Manager of “INSEAD” branch in Abu Dhabi Mr. Bashar Tabara, where BIPA’s experience was reviewed in the areas of training and leadership development.
Both sides agreed on the need to cooperate with the French INSEAD to implement a number of leadership training programs, and bringing certified trainers from INSEAD to design elite programs that are specially tailored for undersecretaries and assistant undersecretaries within the leadership programs system offered by the Institute. They also discussed the possibility of cooperation in the preparation and implementation of the initiative related to the project of establishing National Center for the preparation and development of government leaders in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is under study at the present time.
During the visit, Mr. Ameen toured INSEAD’s main facilities, located at the “Fontaine Blue” city, which is characterized by the latest international standards that have been provided to be one of the leading training institutions in the world. Mr. Ameen also took part in one of the training program provided by INSEAD entitled “Blue Ocean Strategy”.
Such efforts contribute to enhancing communication with the international institutions which have extensive experience in the field of training and developing leaders and preparation of specialized programs for them.
