His Excellency Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, the Director General of Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA), stated that the Masters in Public Management Program, carried out by the Institute in collaboration with the University of Bahrain and other major International Academic institutions in the field of Management, contributes sustainably in the development of capabilities and National cadres that work to bolster the outcomes of the Public and private work systems in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He added, that the Masters in Public Management Program has witnessed 72 Management projects by the graduates of the program, which is in line with the ambitious vision “Bahrain 2030”. His statement came on the occasion of the inauguration of the Fifth batch of Masters in Public Management Program in the presence of the participating students and public and official figures, academics and experts in this field.
Dr. Bin Shams affirmed that the Institute of Public Administration seeks through this Fifth batch of the Masters in Public Management program to graduate a new group of national leaders capable of advancing forward the wheel of sustainable development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. At the same time, Dr. Bin Shams praised all the graduates of the previous batches and their projects that they have presented and their achievements and progress after their graduation in both the public and private sectors.
His Excellency Dr. Bin Shams added that the program does not only provide Theoretical Management knowledge, but also focuses on applicable scientific principles aligned in its outcomes with the latest advances in science in the field of Public Management. It also meets the aspiration of the Government agencies on one hand, to make Bahrain a Global investment center and on the other hand, meets the aspiration of the citizens to receive high quality and excellent services.
For his part His Excellency Professor Doctor Riyadh Yousif Hamza, the President of the University of Bahrain, stated that:“the National University has welcomed from Day One and embraced the Masters In Public Management Program, and has provided all kind of Human and logistical support, owing to its belief in its role in upgrading the human cadres in the public sector and its centrality in the process of development, and the dependence of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain – in its programs, plans and directions – on these cadre who are able to translate the programs into a practical application characterized by capacity, ability and knowledge. ”
He added, in his statement on the inauguration of the Fifth Batch of Masters in Public Management Program, saying: “What increased our enthusiasm during the introduction of this idea, this national and global partnership all in one time, is the collaboration coming from the University of Aix Marseille (AMU) and Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) of France, who enjoy a rich and good reputation in Management, which is what the students of the last four batches have benefited from” He continues to express his belief that “this partnership is able to transfer many successful experiences to our Bahraini administrative reality, and seek to bring it to what is demanded from government action, which is one of the most important levers to embody Bahrain’s Economic vision 2030, in terms of performance efficiency and productivity. ”
Professor Dr. Riyadh Hamza affirmed that the University of Bahrain looks forward to more cooperation with the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration welcoming the Fifth batch of students who have completed their earlier studies at the University of Bahrain and those who are joining for the first time.
It is worth mentioning, that the Masters In Public Management is a result of collaboration between the French University Aix Marseille, which is ranked among the top 130 universities globally, and the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) of France, from where a great number of world leaders and presidents have graduated in the field of Management, as well as other local partners.
