The Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) has organized a specialized workshop on “How to Prepare a Discussion Paper”. The purpose of the workshop was to develop research skills on a methodological basis. This coincides with the international joint conference between the International Association Schools & Institutes of Administration (IASIA) and the Middle East & North Africa Public Administration Research Network (MENAPAR), which will be hosted by the city of Ramallah, Palestine, during the period 3 through 7 July 2017, under the theme of: “Public Administration under Pressure: Towards a Resilient, Responsive, Collaborative & Transformative Public Administration“. The worship is organized by BIPA out of its belief in the significance of scientific research for the development of public administration and for improvement of efficiency and productivity, which improvement is attainable through development of human resources and scientific and methodological involvement in public administration research.
The purpose of the workshop was also to enhance the government policy industry founded on proofs and evidences, as well as to solve problems by scientific means, which attain the objectives to which BIPA endeavours to achieve through tireless efforts and state-of-the-art technologies.
The MENAPAR conference, which will be hosted by the city of Ramallah, Palestine, next July by organization of the General Personnel Council of the State of Palestine, in strategic partnership with IASIA, MENAPAR Network and Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), will cover the increasing challenges facing regional public administration, in an atmosphere of social instability and ongoing economic pressures. The conference aims at identify best models and styles of public administration that will embody flexibility, response and ability to ensure transformation, cooperation and innovation.
The conference will discuss a number of subtopics within four parallel courses. Within the framework of each of such courses, public discussion sessions and seminars will be arranged to review public policy subjects and discussion papers. The public discussion sessions and public policy subjects will interrelate with the conference theme within the general topic of the conference.
