The Director General of the Institute of Public Administration Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams indicated that the hosting of the 29th international congress on public administration in the Kingdom of Bahrain next June is an opportunity to create an Arab organization for scientific research in general and more specifically for public administration, where this congress embraces those interested in scientific research, to be the core for forming a middle eastern structure in the near future dealing with matters of public administration.
This came at the beginning of the meeting of members of BIPA's organizing committee with members of the steering committee of the 29th International Congress, which consists of representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Economic Development Board, Civil Service Bureau, the Ministry of Information, Gulf Petrochemical and Bahrain Centre for Strategic and International Studies and energy, which took place at the premises of the Institute at Seef district.
The organizing committee reviewed Institute's preparations to hold the congress from 1st to 6th June, 2013, also reviewed the support provided by private companies and government institutions, which reflects the fruitful unity of various sectors in the country. After that a brief was given about the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA), which are the two largest organizations working on the affairs of administrative sciences internationally, where their joint conference is held every 3 years in one of the countries that is voted for by the majority of Member States in the two organizations.
On the other hand, the congress program was discussed, and different remarks were deliberated by the Steering Committee, in order to clarify the outline followed by the congress after receiving many abstracts from many quarters, including the University of Bahrain, the Ministry of Social Development, the Social Insurance Organization and other agencies, many proposals also included to be the subject of study to reach the best possible technique to achieve the strategic objectives for which the congress is being held.
