Seef District –The Bahrain Institute of Public Administration:
His Excellency Dr. Raed bin Shams Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) received yesterday morning at the Institute, the Director of Africa and the Middle East Office in the Civil Service College of Singapore, Tina Tan and his accompanying delegation, to discuss the latest developments in bilateral cooperation in the field of training programs, which would contribute to the advancement of the various areas of the public sector in Kingdom of Bahrain, according to the economic Vision 2030.
Dr. bin Shams reviewed with the delegation how to benefit from the expertise and experience of Singapore, and the extent of their applicability in the Kingdom of Bahrain, taking into account local characteristics, and in proportion to the different needs in order to enhance the performance of the government to support sustainable development in the field of training and education.
Mrs. Tan welcomed joint cooperation in the field of training and said that it would have its fruitful results for both parties.
They discussed during the meeting, follow-up to the training programs launched recently by the Institute of Public Administration – in partnership with the Civil Service College of Singapore – such as public finance, which will be launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and targets all employees in the financial sector in the government to prepare them to obtain certificates of professionalism in the public finances.
It is worth mentioning that the Singapore Civil Service College is devoting all educational and training services to develop and refine government ministries and agencies, as well as providing some of its programs and services to the private sector.
