The Director of Consultancy and Research at Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) Mr. Mohammed Hassan Al Sabaa affirmed that leadership and Innovation today, are the two basic elements for the advancement of Institutional work and to put forward innovative government initiatives and projects that meet the requirements of the citizens and reflect the developmental aspirations.
He pointed out that the Institute has adopted a scientific model of leadership that includes innovation as a basic component, commensurate with different segments and levels of employment, towards making innovation a permanent government culture not only in the Institute of Public Administration, but in the institutional work sector as a whole. This came on the occasion of the visit by the PhD students at the Arabian Gulf University to the Institute for Public Administration (BIPA), to learn about the Institute’s experience in the fields of leadership and innovation based on scientific and methodological foundations.
Mr. Al Sabaa pointed out that the continued cooperation between the Institute and the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) is a testament to the networking of efforts to keep pace with future trends, through the exchange of experiences, knowledge and research initiatives. He added that this visit came to transfer the benefit and scientific knowledge to the doctoral students at the Arabian Gulf University, as the Institute is today a scientific and applied reference for leadership and innovation in the Kingdom of Bahrain, He Added that they reviewed the best experiences and expertise in this field aimed at raising the efficiency and quality of institutional work and the institutional model adopted by the Institute at the level of its daily internal work and in training programs.
For her part Dr. Fairuz Al-Damour, Professor of Management Information Systems, praised the Institute for Public Administration (BIPA), represented by the Director General H.E. Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams and all the staff of the Institute for the distinctive experience presented by the Institute on innovative leadership, noting that Arabian Gulf University (AGU) has a strong relationship with the Institute and a joint knowledge exchange. She added that the university has been providing competencies to participate in the distinguished training program provided by the Institute of Public Administration for human cadres in various fields and has concluded a lot of agreements between the two parties aimed at exchanging knowledge and experiences and providing programs, training workshops, conferences and other scientific and research events.
Dr. Damour added that in order to enhance the practical aspect and learn about the success stories achieved by the Institute, the PhD students from the Arabian Gulf University visited the Institute and learned about the successful innovative and pioneering leadership strategies applied at the Institute, which are based on the use of the appropriate leadership style, innovation and revitalization policies, and the motivation of employees and the family atmosphere that prevails in the Institute, which is one of the most important pillars of the Institute, in addition to working on the principle of the strategy of continuity.
