The Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams stated the scope of escalating urgent and necessary need to find a specialized and advanced training program takes into consideration and embraces high school graduates in business administration, so that it provides all the necessary training expertise to ensure the graduation of high efficiency capabilities of candidates for servicing the country, government authorities and even the private sector in human resources area.
This came during the last monthly meeting of BIPA's board of directors, chaired by president of the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) Mr. Ahmed bin Zayed Al-Zayed, and in the presence of the following members; Assistant Undersecretary for Private and Continuous Education at the Ministry of Education Mrs. Widad Al-Mosawi, Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance Mr. Ahmed Jassim Al-Faraj, Assistant Undersecretary for Training and Planning at the Ministry of Health Dr. Hala Almehza'a, and Director of Information Technology and knowledge at Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company Mr. Adnan Al-Mahmood.
During the meeting, bin Shams explained; human resources sector in Bahrain is suffering from a severe shortage at the available quantum level of candidates, as well as the weakness of directed programs for those interested in studying this sector.
Bin Shams reviewed the results of some studies that addressed the sector of human resources in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which evidently through shows the low efficiency of some human resources currently serving in state's ministries and institutions, which reflects negatively on the level of required performance and the satisfaction of employees in these institutions, which requires the urgency to speed up finding successful solutions to this problem.
Accordingly, the Board decided after a careful discussion and deliberations of viewpoints between its members, directing the executive management at BIPA to take the necessary measures and to speed up the work on implementing this program and coordinate with government agencies wishing to sponsor, as a preliminary step to make graduates showing high efficiency to join the work with sponsoring bodies when prescribed legal conditions of that are available, according to the strategy adopted by the CSB, represented in providing human skills and resources worthy for public sector job.
