Dr Raed Mohamed Bin Shams, Director-General of the Institute of public administration “BIPA”, said on the official appointment of the Kingdom of Bahrain for the Presidency of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences IIAS, which is the oldest international organization in the field of public administration, that this accolade is the culmination of the leadership’s support , represented by His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa AL Khalifa , and His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister and his Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander first Deputy Prime Minister. Dr. Shams noted that the support of the Leadership for the work of the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) comes under its keenness to achieve the aspirations of the citizens to raise the efficiency of government services and improving the State system in Bahrain.
This came during the inauguration of his Excellency Dr. Raed Mohamed Bin Shams as President of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences, on the margins of the IIAS Conference on “IIAS-Lien Conference” jointly between the International Institute of Administrative Sciences and University of Nanning, in Singapore.
Dr. Bin Shams stated that the Kingdom of Bahrain, today leads in international research efforts aimed at improving the Public administration methodologies around the world. He asserted that the Institute continually develops plans and strategies to maintain the prestige of the Kingdom under global competitive indicators as an international source of reference in this field of expertise and strives to achieve its innovative ambitions in shaping the future of management research and achieve international sustainability on various levels.
Noting that the Kingdom of Bahrain has set off, with this new accomplishment, to bear the responsibilities of setting up the agenda for International research, defining solutions, according to scientific approaches to the most important Administrative issues in Region that will enhance the life of the individuals and communities.
Dr bin Shams stated that the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) has evolved from being a consumer of researches in the field of public administration to becoming the source of such researches. He explained that , the journey of the institute to becoming a respected source for International Research in the administrative area set off with its drive to establish a solid platform of scientific administrative research to improve the Government work system In Bahrain. The Institute then moved ahead to develop appropriate research plans for regional administrative requirements and thus contributed actively in shaping international administrative research by enhancing relations with the International Centers and enriched the international research system with its achievements over the years.
The International Institute of Administrative Sciences is the largest and most prestigious international organization in Administrative Sciences worldwide, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, it was established in 1930. Comprising over 600 participants from various Member States belonging to different government agencies, academic institutions and civil society organizations.
