His Excellency Ahmed bin Zayed Al-Zayed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), President of the Civil Service Bureau, has congratulated BIPA and all BIPA’s Board members for obtaining ISO 9001:2008 certification of quality management system upon successfully passing all assessment stages required by the International Standard Organization. “Such achievement will contribute to promoting the government work system and to improving efficiency for meeting ambitions of both the government and citizens”, he said.
Mr. Al-Zayed added that ISO certification of quality will further improve the quality of services provided by BIPA for civil servants through the application of the highest quality standards. “It will raise capability and quality of human resources and administration processes”, he said. Mr. Al-Zayed praised the efforts exerted by the members of BIPA for promoting training services and programs offered by BIPA to all participants.
On his part, His Excellency Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, Director-General of BIPA, said that BIPA is proud of obtaining ISO 9001:2008 certification of quality management system, a clear indication that BIPA is fully committed to such management system. He praised the role of BIPA’s Board of Directors under the chairmanship of His Excellency Ahmed bin Zayed Al-Zayed, President of the Civil Service Bureau, in supporting BIPA to promote the quality standard of performance in order to meet aspirations of the Government.
Bin Shams pointed out that obtaining ISO certification by BIPA is a forward step to achieve its strategic vision and to improve services provided for trainees of various sectors and disciplines. He also commended the role of BIPA’s quality team and members “who contributed faithfully to obtain this certification”. He emphasized that ISO 9001:2008 certification is a beginning to acquire a Total Quality Management certification and a fundamental step to ensure excellent corporate performance and quality culture enhancement.
The ISO 6001:2008 standards are approved by the International Standardization Organization as a global recognition that the quality systems of an organization conform to the international standards and provide a secured framework for processes, policies and procedures and for improvement of services within a systematic framework that will satisfy customers and meet their current legislative and legal requirements through effective application of the quality management system.
