Mr. Ishaq Ameen Al-Kooheji, Executive Director of Leaning & Development at Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) has stated that leadership training programs will be launched during this month, November, as part of the national plan of preparation and development of government leaderships. “The programs fall within BIPA’s strategic vision of Sophisticated Government Performance for Sustainable Development”, he said.
Al-Kooheji explained that the leadership package of programs, which will be launched by BIPA include three principal topics, namely, TA’ASEES, which is directed at newly recruited civil servants, KAWADER, a program designed for section heads and the like, and QIYADAT, a diploma program for preparing government leaders and for targeting directors and the like. “BIPA has redesigned its leadership training programs to align BIPA’s new vision, which aims at producing government leaders capable of responding to the public sector needs through four strategic major objectives in the form of advanced services meeting developmental outlooks and optimal management and leadership of human resources. “This is to provide advanced services and policies to support ongoing development, sustainable culture of change and innovation for development”, Al-Koohei said.
Al-Kooheji emphasized that all training programs launched by BIPA aim at preparing government leaders capable of keeping abreast of modern changes in public administration with the aim of realizing the government’s aspirations in making the Bahraini citizen the centre point of development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. “The training programs stem from Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and conform to the strategic priority of the government action plan for the year 2015-2018 – Effective and Efficient Government for the Service of Citizens. He pointed out that the leadership programs provided by BIPA within the framework of the national plan for preparation and development of government leaders are in line with Topic 6 of the government action program and a part of the strategic priority of enhancing the efficiency and competency of government performance. It provides for introducing special programs to improve executive leadership standards as a plan for preparing and developing a second line of leadership and staff members for each significant position.
