Mr. Mohammed Al-Sabba’a, Senior Director of Basic Development and Innovative Education at the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) has announced that BIPA will launch a series of online presentations, which will contribute to meeting all training requirements for civil servants. This is in line with the cost rationalization policy, and to provide alternative solutions to ensure running the training process at a lower cost”, he said. This initiative follows the successful online training experiment by BIPA. A quality range of online training services will be provided for a large category of civil servants in various Ministries and other Government organizations.
Al Sabba’s emphasized that BIPA would be anxious to employ such initiative as part of the new initiatives that conform to BIPA’s vision of “Developed Government Performance for Sustainable Development”. He added that the online presentation initiative will focus upon the strategic objective stemming from the ongoing culture of change and innovation for development. Such presentations will target all public sector staff members who can register free of charge for such presentation. The presentations will be in the form of short training sessions of introductory presentations during which communication and information technologies can be discussed and interaction among participants can be made directly for a period one to one and a half hours.
Explaining the objectives which BIPA endeavours to attain through such online initiative, Al Sabba’a said: “This initiative will serve to increase online communications among specialists and practitioners in a synchronous manner for knowledge enrichment and enhancement of know-how, skills and capabilities in various aspects of public administration. It will also provide more opportunities for those who wish to embark upon self-development in public administration branches at a very low cost with conventional presentations, dissemination of distance training, and employment of state-of-the-art technologies in the training and education processes.
