Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), President of MENAPAR, HE Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams revealed the success of the Kingdom of Bahrain, through MENAPAR, in reviving Euro MENA dialogue, in cooperation with the European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) and Aix-Marseille University. On 24th October 2016, Sultanate of Oman will host the Conference of Modernization of Human Resources Management and Performance of Public Organizations, organized by BIPA and Institute of Public Administration in Oman (IPA). Bin Shams said that MENAPAR and EGPA have signed a strategic agreement on holding biennial Euro Mena dialogue meetings alternatively, constituting workshops and round-table discussions on public management-related issues. Bin Shams highlighted the prominent role of such regional interaction in serving the need for extending the public management scope of practices and ideas from the Mediterranean region to the Arab region. He added that Euro MENA dialogues will connect MENA countries to the European community with the aim of establishing regional public management policy dialogue, reinforcing cooperation and exchange of experiences between government authorities in both regions, allowing specialists and experts to discuss and share benefits of best practices and modern administrative methods and supporting elite young researchers in public and academic sectors in the Arab region. The conference offers Euro MENA youth the opportunity to broaden their experience of the regional professional networks, develop cooperation proposals and mechanisms of promoting the public management practices in the Arab region and between Europe and MENA and review success stories in Euro MENA and to exchange and follow suit them. Bin Shams added that a group of the most prominent international public management experts representing a variety of specialized universities, institutes and organizations in Bahrain, Oman, Tunis, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Palestine and Algeria in the Arab side and France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy and Belgium in the European side will be present in Euro MENA Dialogue Conference pointing out that the official languages of the conference are Arabic, English and French.
